Hello,

I have noticed that it is impossible to add Wildcard SSL from the back end.

for example *.domain.com is not possible. Only sub.domain.com

It would be great to have this feature(for eCommerce, Web sockets and more).

Thanks!

Regards,

Ben

Hello, Ben!

You must be able to install a wildcard SSL via the SPanel User interface -> SSL certificates. If you see issues with that, it may be best to open a ticket with technical support.

Thanks, Ben!

Hello Vlad,

Thank you for your reply.

Two weeks ago, your support team informed me via live chat (if I recall correctly) that it wasn't possible to add an Alpha SSL and configure it as `*.domain.com` from our end. This has to be done on your side, as the feature apparently isn’t built into Spanel. When attempting to do this from the Spanel backend, the SSL provider shows a message indicating that the SSL is not configured for `*.domain.com`.

Your support had to generate it from their end in order to get it to work with the SSL supplier.

Here’s my ticket number for reference: #996619.

I hope this clarifies the issue.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Ben

Got it. The issue actually is that in SPanel you are not able to generate a CSR for a wildcard domain/subdomain. We are going to fix that and the option will be available in the next SPanel update which we plan to publish in 3-4 weeks. I hope that is acceptable, Ben.
