Proper email filters for email accounts (not just global discard filters)

In Progress

It would be great, if not essential, to have email filters within each email account, that would allow, for example, to send certain messages to certain folders.

Sure, most email clients can do this... but we don't want this to happen on the client side, we want it on the server side, so that the user would find the filters applied on each device they use.

cPanel has this function, BTW.

Maybe it would enough to offer a more powerful webmail interface next to Rainloop, which is "pretty" but also "pretty limited".

Thank you, Jago and thanks everyone who voted. This feature is now planned for development.

Hi,

Can you share what stage you have reached with this option and when it can be expected to be implemented?

Thanks

Hello, Pavel! Glad to see you here! We have not yet started development on this feature request yet because the demand for it is not there. Since it has been planned already, the feature will be developed for sure however that will not happen within 2024. There are so many other features with more demand that we need to complete first such as the ability to limit CPU/RAM resources per account, reseller hosting functionality, a migration tool, DNS clustering.

any updates on this for 2025? it would be incredibly helpful

Hello, Amy!

We could not start working on this feature yet because we are busy working on the features with the highest demand which is the reseller hosting functionality.

I believe that the individual email filters functionality will be available till the end of 2025.

By the way, we recently extended the email filters functionality and you may now create filters to deliver the message to a specific folder in a specific email box. That would still be a global filter though which affects all domains in the SPanel User account (not the whole server). Maybe the current functionality will let you achieve what you need?

Regarding a more powerful webmail interface - we integrated the Roundcube webmail client many months ago.
